Future Troupe Directors!!

I added this page to my site to provide access to the documents that I use each year with my troupe.  I know how busy the year can be- especially the beginning.  Hopefully this will help you navigate the "start a troupe" and induction process.  Feel free to take it, change it, throw it away and start over, WHATEVER YOU WANT!  I hope this helps.


 

Step by Step Start-Up:

  1. Create an explanatory letter of what the Thespian Society is to inform potential members and their parents.

  2. Make copies of that letter along with the point system and point record sheets.

  3. Announce to students that the membership drive is open.  Potential members should take an information packet containing the informational letter, point system, and point recording sheet.

  4. Collect point record sheets as they are turned in and verify that the information provided is accurate.

  5. Generate a list of eligible inductees.  Create an invitation for each student on that list and deliver that to the students.

  6. Collect fees and membership information as they return.

  7. Print off the membership document, complete that, and fax it to the included number.

  8. Mail in your payment.

  9. Set your induction ceremony date.  You will receive your membership cards and official troupe documents in 1-2 weeks.  

  10. You are a troupe!!!!!
