Pathways
to Progress
The Pathways to Progress classroom is an integral part of our behavioral support plan at Simmons. The purpose and goal of Pathways to Progress is to begin the process of considering the results and the consequences of decisions and actions. Further, to learn how to make good decisions and start understanding the importance of "what we do" as it relates to ourselves and those around us. Students are referred to this classroom by administrators who feel that a benefit would occur from a change of routine and isolated instruction.
While in the P2P Classroom, students who have fallen behind with classwork will focus on completing assignments to get them back on solid academic footing. A highly qualified educator is on hand to provide instructional support in all academic areas. In addition, should the need arise, the student's academic teacher will visit the class for increased academic support.
