Welcome to the Simmons Family! Please explore this website as it will hopefully serve as a tool to help you and your child better transition into life at our school. Simmons is an incredible community of caring and passionate educators. Rest easy knowing that your child will be in exceptional hands each and every day. After reviewing this site with your child, should you have questions or concerns we encourage you to contact our 6th grade counselor, Ms. Webster. She will address any issues you might have.

**Currently, there is no required reading assignment at SMS, but students are encouraged to use this list to help continue their reading over the summer. Also, you can check with the public library for the most up to date summer reading program information!
Our Mission
In partnership with parents and community, the mission of Simmons Middle School is to educate the whole child and to empower individuals to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. To accomplish this, students will be provided the opportunities to successfully meet or surpass local, state, and national standards. Our faculty commits to a comprehensive system of support for students, parents, and each other as we pledge to make the goal a reality.
